SHED is the Specialist Substance Misuse Service for under 19's in Sheffield.

Provides:

  • Support to schools in delivering drug education
  • Outreach drug education to young people out-of-school and in community settings
  • Prevention and early intervention work with Young Offenders, Children Looked After by the Local Authority, and young people excluded from school
  • Full assessment of substance misuse
  • Advice and information to young people
  • Counselling
  • Specialist treatment including access to detox and medical services.
  • Support to families where a young person is using substances
  • Support to young people whose parents have substance misuse problems

Sheffield Black Drugs Service is an outreach service that aims to respond to the needs of drug users, their partners, families and carers from black and ethnic minority communities. Sheffield Black Drugs Service provides:-

  • Advice, information and counselling
  • Family support
  • SWEET - a regular Under 18s club event for young people
  • Full assessment of substance misuse
  • Support into treatment and detox
  • Community drugs education programme
  • Service offered in community languages
  • Support to access other agencies
