Myth
Drug dealers target young people to get them hooked on drugs.

Reality
There is plenty enough demand in the 'adult' drug market to keep dealers in business. Most young people are bad customers: they get caught and dob dealers in and they don't have much money.
In general young people get drugs and alcohol from older siblings or friends, or seek out dealers themselves. A very small number of young people get involved in drug use through sexual exploitation.
