Referral outcomes

When a young person has been referred to the SHED Service, they will be offered an appointment for initial substance misuse assessment within 5 working days.

If the young person does not attend the appointment the referrer will be notified within seven days. The SHED Service will offer support and advice to the referrer to help encourage young person to attend a further appointment.

When a young person is discharged from, or stops contact with, the SHED Service the original referrer will be notified.
